An individual can get started in a Chapter 13 plan for as little as $385 ($425 for a couple). These fees are the fees that the court charges to file the case, and it is all we charge up front in most cases. The rest of the attorney fees are paid off throughout the course of your plan, generally over 3-5 years. All fees due to the attorney must be approved by the bankruptcy court.
Chapter 7 filing fees are generally $2,500.00 for individuals and married couples (depending upon complexity), which include the Court filing fee, credit report fees and mandatory debtor education classes. Business case fees are assessed on a per-case basis.
